Wreisentanz

Reese

Wriesentanz is a 2011 Hanoverian Mare. She is by one of the most
successful and best producing sons of Weltmeyer, Wolkentanz II.
Wolkentanz II was the Champion of his stallion test for dressage and the
Reserve Champion overall, including being scored 10 twice for
rideability. He competed to S (Advanced) level dressage, with wins and
high placings at Prix St. George and Intermediare I in Germany &
Europe. As a sire, Wolkentanz II adds type, excellent gaits,
temperament & rideability to his offspring and has produced some truly
outstanding competition horses showing & winning in Europe & North
America. He has 12 approved sons and over 20 States Premium mares, in
addition to having offspring competing at S level in both dressage and
jumping. Wolkentanz II’s dam sire, Ludendorff made a name for himself
for producing easy to ride dressage and jumping horses.

Wolkentanz II’s sire, Weltmeyer, was called “Stallion of the Century”
and was one of the leading producers of dressage horses in the world for
many years. He is a legend. As the AHS put it, "Weltmeyer continues to
almost single-handedly reshape the Hanoverian breed." He was the 1986
winner of the stallion licensing in Verden, and the 1987 winner of the
stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf. In the same year Weltmeyer
also won the three-year-old stallions classification at the Federal
Championships of German Riding Horses in Warendorf. In 1988 he was
honored in Verden as best stallion of his age-group and awarded with the
"Freiherr von Stenglin-Prize". One year later he became DLG Champion
1989 in Frankfurt. And last but not least he became "Hanoverian Stallion
of the Year" in 1998. Weltmeyer produced 86 licensed sons and an
incredible 433 States Premium mares. A study of the pedigrees of many
internationally prominent Hanoverian dressage horses reveals that many
are either by sons of Weltmeyer or out of one of his daughters. When it
comes to capacity for dressage and the temperament necessary for a top
competitor, this stallion simply cannot be beaten. In 2005, Weltmeyer
received a Breeding Value Index of 152 points, with an assurance of 99%
heritability, from the German Equestrian Federation.

Wreisentanz’s dam was one of the most special horses I ever had the
privilege of owning, Rubina. Rubina was a direct daughter of the great
Rubinstein. Rubinstein had 40 wins at Grand Prix level, was a member of
the 1996 Olympic team, sired 89 state premium mares and 66 approved
stallions. He was the sire of many top auction horses and Grand Prix
winners. Rubenstein's dam, Antine, was a full sister to three-time
Olympic competitor, Amon, and two-time Olympic champion, Ahlerich
(rider: Reiner Klimke). Rubinstein's foals can be typified as being very
correct and stylish with delicate faces, and an even better trot than
their sire’s. Rubinstein is known as a great improver for the breed. He
consistently passes on his wonderful temperament and movement. He sired
horses that anyone could ride, that were clear headed, easy to handle,
willing to perform and extremely rideable. In the right hands they were
often exemplary pupils that easily learned even the most difficult
movements. The progeny of Rubinstein are very popular with riders
professional and amateur for their willingness to please. Horses whose
names begin with the letter "R" often have Rubinstein as their sire or
grand sire. He was “a stallion of the century”. "R" like Rubinstein,
"R" like rideability.

Wreisentanz was bred by Eclipse Sporthorses and was retained for our
breeding program. She is a truly gorgeous young mare with exceptional
gaits. She has a beautiful refined head, big kind eyes, and a gorgeous
neck that she uses well. She is 16.1 hh with good bone and a good size
frame. Her trot is magnificent with tremendous reach and suspension.
She has a good walk and a powerful, uphill canter. She has a great
character and loves people. She is easy to get along with and a joy to
have on the farm. She is approved in the main studbook of the American
Hanoverian Society.
